Laura Bertrands (1991, Leuven) is graduated in 2014 with an academic bachelor in Graphic Design. In 2015 she graduated with a master degree in Visual Arts from Media, Arts & Design Faculty (Hasselt). In 2017 deed ik nog een extra studiejaar om een lerarenopleiding binnen de Kunsten te behalen. In de Academie voor Schone Kunsten volgende ik een opleiding Toegepaste Grafiek. Hier leerde ik mijn eigen stijl ontwikkelen.
Laura started to work as a freelancer, in her own studio. As a passionate mixed-media artist &
allround graphic designer, she loves the 'image thinking'. This stimulated her to see her interest for conceptual research as an added value in her education for corporate & editorial design.

Studio Berella
Laura Bertrands is a Belgian mixed-media artist and visual creator working under the name Studio Berella. Her vibrant personality is reflected in layered artworks that combine painting, collage, photography, textiles, charcoal and spray paint.
Driven by intuition and experimentation, Laura creates expressive compositions where texture, emotion and storytelling come together. Some works are bold and confrontational, while others feel quiet and intimate. Alongside her mixed-media practice, she is also known for her charcoal portraits and minimalist collages.
